Railway of Art - Symphonic Vibrations - Milan-Como

AreaOdeon, with the support and the participation of CentoStazioni, Company of Ferrovie dello Stato Group, have started a project to create a series of artistic installations on the railway Milan-Como, with the aim to valorize the train as privileged channel of sustainable transportation, transforming also the smaller stations in places with quality and care.

The perspective is to give, moreover, a sense to the time passed waiting for the train, participating to ludic systems of artistic interaction in the railway places, with the maximum involvement and possible active participation of the citizenships interested by the regional railway line.

The goal is to produce a series of dynamic installations, in direct dialogue with the flows of trains and travelers, each one defining in its contents, shapes, structure and dimensions, based on the specificities of the city and the station. The specific solution therefore will be determined through a process of valorization of the place and the railway architecture, as a result of a search on the various territorial truths that cohabit in the same city: local economy, tradition, culture and society.
